Cold Granite By Stuart MacBride
I have only just started reading this book and I am hooked already. Scott is now on to Stuart MacBride's fifth novel in the Logan McRae series, he is not a reader as such, especially books but he absolutely loves these, finds them entertaining, enthralling and because they are set in Aberdeen, Scotland, where we originate from, he can relate to the places, streets etc that are mentioned in the story, that is one of the reasons I decided to start reading them, it takes you on a trip down memory lane, not because of the gruesome story lines but because of all the familiarity of the locations and dialect used.
The Blurb:
Winter in Aberdeen: murder, meyhem and terrible weather.
It's DS Logan McRae's first day back on the job after a year off on the sick, and it couldn't get much worse. Four-year-old David Reid's body is discovered in a ditch, strangled, mutilated and a long time dead. And he's only the first. There's a killer stalking the Granite City and the local media are baying for blood.
Soon the dead are piling up in the morgue almost as fasts as the snow on the streets, and Logan knows time is running out. More children are going missing. More are going to die. If Logan isn't careful, he could end up joining them.
