Daisy Chains and Picnics

  Sunday 16th August was my 58th birthday. I got some lovely gifts. Cerys painted a beautiful picture of Hamish on a magnet. Scott and I watched The Purge on Saturday evening. I made slow cooked lamb shanks for my birthday tea. We watched Run on Sunday evening. Darren's 35th birthday was on 10th August, he went out for a meal and drinks with friends. That's 3 birthdays down, 2 to go.

Cerys and Blake made our Easter Sunday tea, they put on quite a spread and boy was there a lot of dishes and cleaning up to do!! They did a fantastic job, everything was delicious. I made a pie for next days tea using the leftovers.

We received a gift voucher for Mures upper deck from the kids for our 25th wedding anniversary in December 2024 and still hadn't used it, so we took the opportunity when we stayed the night in Sandy Bay on Saturday when Cerys was having a sleepover. We had never been to the upper deck before, it over looks the waterfront, really pretty. We chose the share platter. It was absolutely delicious. We also shared a baked alaska.
