I needed more storage space in the kitchen so we decided to build a large kitchen island with bar stool seating. I wanted a better use of the space as well as being more practical, it's quite tight on countertop space when there are a few of us doing things in the kitchen. This is the kitchen before, we are going to store the table and use it for Christmas, but we will get rid of the chairs as they are quite bulky. The bench was also used as storage as well as seating. We added the bench back in 2018 so we have had it for a while now, see post here 15th August 2025, Scott started taking the existing unit and the storage bench apart, it is at an angle and we wanted to straighten it up.
