Weetos, Quavers & More!

A few months ago we asked Caroline if she would send out some of Jodie's favourite UK eats as a surprise for Christmas, she was more than happy to buy them and post them out. Jodie has always adored weetos as a child and indulged in them when we visited the UK in 2018, unfortunately for her we don't get them here so we knew she would be beside herself when she saw them!! She was also a huge lover of quavers, another snack that is not sold here. We also got Caroline to send out Viscount biscuits, they were Jodie's favourite biscuit, Tunnocks teacakes, scampi fries (they were for Scott and I 😜), rainbow drops and angel delight. Below are photos of the girls opening the box on Christmas morning. Sometimes the simplest things in life bring the most joy and make for the best memories.

Christmas Cracker Crap

Cerys thought of just another way to humiliate us on Christmas day!, as though the ugly socks wasn't enough, she decided she wanted to make crackers and fill them with tacky Christmas wear. We will be pulling the crackers on Christmas eve and we have to wear the gift we get all of Christmas day! I tried everywhere to get a packet of DIY crackers but couldn't find any, I had these crackers from the sale a couple of years ago so we decided to use them. We bought some cheap tacky items and opened one end of the crackers and stuffed the items inside. We then closed the end back off and added a gift tag to each cracker. 🎄🎅🎉

Christmas Name Place Setting Ornaments

I saw these Friends Christmas tree ornaments in Typo and thought they would make cute name place ornaments for the table. They were $4.99 each or 3 for $10, I bought 7 just in case we have the same amount of people we had last year and I want the name settings to match. It was just as well I got them when I did, they sold out pretty fast!! I wanted them painted different colours, Jodie wanted her one to stay yellow but we painted the other 6 with spray paint Scott had in the shed. We removed the hanging ribbons as they will be lying on the plates. We only needed four of them but the others will come in handy if we need more at anytime. I had these tags left from another project, I wrote our names on them then stuck them to the back with blue tac as I didn't want it to be permanent. I am really pleased with how they turned out, it is just something different and unique that will can be used many times and as I kept the hanging ribbon I can also use them as tree ornaments.
