The run up to Christmas last year, we were all down with covid, this run up so far, I have had sciatica for 5 weeks now and on Monday 27th November 2023, Darren was diagnosed with shingles all over his face, not only the viral infection but also the bacterial. He said he had been feeling run down and tired for the past 2 weeks, then on Sunday night he couldn't get slept for the pain, he came to me Monday morning with what he thought was a cluster of cold sores on his forehead and cheeks, I went to the chemist to get his medication but he had to wait for the after hours doctors to open at 6pm before he could get a diagnosis and medication for it. He got strong antibiotics and codeine for the pain as well as antiviral cream.
