Super easy to make and by braising them in the cola it makes the wings super tender and tasty too.
I fried the chicken wings in a little oil first to brown the skin so it gave the wings a golden colour instead of pale and pasty, it also crisps the skin up a little.
If you can't get hold of Tamari sauce use soy sauce. Once the dish is ready, if you don't want to cover the wings in sauce, pour it into a jug or dipping bowl so everyone can decide who to enjoy the wings.

Any left over sauce can be frozen for another meal such as stir fry.
Ingredients
20 chicken wing pieces
1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp sweet paprika
1/2 tsp ginger powder
1 tbsp peanut oil
2 spring onion, sliced
2 garlic cloves, roughly chopped
2 tbsp tamari sauce
1 tbsp mirin seasoning
330 ml cola
1 tsp chicken stock powder
1-2 tbsp corn flour
1 tsp chicken stock powder
1-2 tbsp corn flour
Method
1. Coat chicken wings in 1 tsp olive oil, sweet paprika & ginger powder. Heat 1 tbsp peanut oil in a large frying pan over a medium-high heat. Add chicken wings, fry until golden brown, 3-4 minutes, turn wings and do the same with the other side. Take off heat, transfer wings to a plate.
2. Return pan to heat, reduce to medium, add spring onions & garlic, stir for a few seconds until fragrant. Add tamari, mirin and cola, stir to combine. Carefully add wings, Stir a few times to coat with sauce.
3. When sauce starts to boil reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, gently stirring a couple of times to prevent sticking to the pan. Add chicken stock powder to taste, if you feel the sauce is not quite thick enough, turn heat up to medium and mix 1 tbsp corn flour in water to make a paste and add to the sauce, stir through, simmer for 1-2 minutes.
4. Transfer wings to serving plate and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. Pour the sauce into a jug or dipping bowl.
These are perfect finger foods for parties or barbecues. The cola along with the spices give the wings a juicy BBQ flavour.
