A delicious combination of creamy brie, tang and sweetness from caramelised onion and salty ham. Ideal for any meal time.
Ingredients
3 sheets ready made shortcrust pastry, thawed
100 g ham, chopped
125 g brie, chunks
4 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1 Tsp dried chives
1 Tsp garlic powder
4 Tbsp caramelised onion
Method
1. Line individual tart cases with pastry, prick base with a fork. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes. Whisk together eggs, milk, chives and garlic powder, season with salt and pepper.
2. Preheat oven to 200°C. Remove tart cases from fridge and line with baking paper and baking beans. Blind bake for 10-12 minutes.
3. Remove from oven, turn temperature down to 180°C. Remove baking paper and beans. Return to oven for 5 minutes. Allow to cool slightly.
