A tasty yet easy slow cook bolognese
meat sauce for meat lovers.
Ingredients
1 Chorizo chopped
300 g Primo diced bacon style pieces
500 g minced beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 1/2 Tbsp olive oil
500 g Jar Bolognese sauce
200 ml tomato passata sauce
Method
1. Heat 1/2 Tbsp oil in a frying pan over a medium heat, add chorizo and bacon pieces and fry until browned to your liking, remove from heat and place aside.
2. In another large pan, heat 1 Tbsp oil, saute onions until they are clear and soft, add crushed garlic and cook for another minute, add minced beef, breaking into small pieces with a wooden spoon and brown.
Add chorizo and bacon mix to browned mince and mix through, then add the bolognese sauce and the passata sauce, mix thoroughly.
Transfer to slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
Serve with spaghetti, pasta, jacket potatoes or just salad.
