Christmas In July 2023. The Main Event

We celebrated our Christmas in July day on Sunday 23rd July 2023. I roasted a turkey which I bought at a bargain price after Christmas last year. While the turkey was roasting, we played some play station games. I won the very first game 💃 And, then Darren won. (Excuse the random rugs under the table, our elderly dog finds it hard to control his paws on the wooden floor, he tends to Scooby doo a bit!! 🙈🐶😜) Cerys won a Christmas pudding at her works Christmas dinner last year, so that became our dessert. Hamish enjoyed his humongous plate of turkey. I donned my Christmas jammies. And we settled down to watch Christmas Vacation. 🎄🎅🤶

I'm A Barbie Girl, In A Barbie World

Life in plastic, It's fantastic! Cerys and her friends went to see the new Barbie movie in the cinema on 21st July 2023, featuring Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie. They all decided to wear something pink. Boy!, am I looking forward to watching it! 💗💗

Fabric Mural On Walls

We came across this stunning fabric in spotlight 40% off, I wasn't quite sure what we could do with it but I did see people were putting fabric on walls as it is cheaper than wallpaper. (We still have to paint the skirting board!) So we thought we would give it a go. We put it on a small part of the wall in then hall, making it a feature. We measured the fabric and I ironed it. Scott prepared the wall. (Excuse the random mats on the floor, our almost 15 year old dog is afraid of walking on the wooden flooring!) Unfortunately, we have a plug point on that wall, so he had to trim the fabric to fit, which proved to be harder and more fiddly than we anticipated! We added a small dado rail, which we painted gold, to define the fabric from the wall. We finished it off with edgings. It just adds a touch of colour and character to a plain wall.
