Pandora Christmas Sleigh 2014 Find

I found this gorgeous Pandora porcelain Christmas sleigh ornament in the op shop today for $20 and just knew it would look stunning on my tree. It wasn't until I took it out of the box that I noticed it was inscribed on the back with Pandora 2014. My dad passed away in April 2014 and that year was the first Christmas without him so this made the find even more special. Christmas is my most favourite time of the year, a time where I can go all out on glitter, sparkly things, Christmas music blaring every day, plentiful Christmas movies and know one complains!!, so to find this amazing ornament which will become a special part of our Christmas each year made my day 💕 It comes with a little pouch which I plan to put some of his ashes in and hang it on my tree along with another ornament that contains some of his ashes which has been hung on our Christmas tree every year. How amazing is that to come across a Christmas ornament from 2014 💙 Dad will be landing on our tree in Santa'...

Zucchini Slice

We received some home grown zucchini from a neighbour recently and I was thinking of various ways to use it up, I baked a zucchini loaf, see recipe  here  and we still had some of that left so I went for a savoury dish this time. Ingredients 400g grated zucchini 2 spring onions, thinly sliced 6 eggs 1 cup milk 1 cup wholemeal or white self raising flour pinch salt  1/2 cup grated cheese Method 1.  Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan forced. Grease and line base and sides of a 27cm x 17cm x 3cm slice pan (approx sizing). 2.  Squeeze excess liquid out of zucchini. Place zucchini and spring onion into the prepared pan. 3.  In a large jug, whisk together eggs, milk and flour, season with a pinch salt & some pepper. Pour mixture over vegetables in pan, using a rubber spatula, evenly distribute egg mixture and vegetables. Sprinkle with cheese. 4.  Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden and just set. Cool in pan for 10-15 minutes. Slice and enjoy. Enjoy.

Jodie 23 Today

Happy birthday to this pair.... Jodie turned 23 today and Hamish turned 13. She had taken a weeks holiday from work and fortunately the day of her birthday was a beautiful sunny day so we actually managed to get some photos outside. Although, it was windy! 😂 She opened her presents and cards before Cerys went to work. Cerys made her a cherry ripe cheesecake. Sushi for lunch. Stunning sunflowers from Charlette. From Darren. She finished her day with a big bowl of cheesecake while watching Coraline.

The Butchers House Night Away

We decided to take a night away just to relax and spend time taking photos as it is something we haven't done in such a long time, what with one thing and another there hasn't been the time or opportunity to get away for even just a few hours, so we thought we would grab an opportunity before we spend next weekend moving Darren back home. Saturday 11th September, after dropping Cerys off at work we started our journey to The Butchers House which is in Bothwell, less than one hour from us, I think it was about 45 minutes. After arriving we spent some time wandering around the tiny town. Bothwell is a small town situated in central Tasmania on the River Clyde, it is notable for hunting and being a lake district. We then headed to The Butcher's House where we stayed the night. The Butcher's House is a heritage listed cottage built with convict bricks in the mid 1800s. With plenty of outdoor seating it is ideal for relaxing in the fresh air with a cup of tea watching the ...
