This quick and easy savoury biscuit is ideal to serve with a cheeseboard along with some tasty dried fruits. I came across this recipe here and thought it would be a great quick activity for Cerys to get involved in.
Buttery and cheesy with the distinct flavour of Rosemary
These are great to get the kids involved with, they love the idea of getting stuck into the messy part.
Ingredients
40 g wholemeal flour
50 g plain flour
50 g finely grated Parmesan
1 tbsp finely chopped fresh rosemary
small sprinkling of salt
small sprinkling of salt
60 g cold unsalted butter,
cut into small pieces
Method
1. Preheat oven to 140°C fan. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
2. Mix together all the dry ingredients in a bowl, then add the butter. Rub in with your fingers until small clumps form, then knead into a dough. Wrap in clingfilm and chill for 20-30 minutes until firm.
3. On a floured surface, roll to 4mm thick. Cut out biscuits with a 5cm cutter.
4. Arrange on the tray and bake for 20 minutes or until golden, then cool, serve and enjoy.
