Daisy Chains and Picnics

After we had breakfast, we finished packing and put the cases in the car, we then returned the room key before heading back to the car hire to drop the car back. We got the transfer bus to the airport and checked in. Our flight to Brisbane left Cairns at 11.50am. We arrived at Brisbane airport at 1.40pm, 17 minutes early. Coming in to land at Brisbane. We were supposed to have 1 hour wait at Brisbane airport but the flight was delayed, so instead of the 3.05pm departure, we left at 3.50pm.  We had planned to get the kids Krispy Kreme doughnuts from Sydney but with the delay we got them at Brisbane, which was just as well, we only had time to run from one plane to the next at Sydney. We decided on a last minute scenic flight over the Great Barrier Reef and booked the day before we returned home. We arrived at Daintree air services at 9.15am, we joined the other 5 passengers in the waiting room to wait for the pilot to return with the previous passengers. During that time, we had a safety information briefing by one of the other pilots. We put on our safety vests around our waist. At 9.55am, our pilot Brayden, lead us out to where the plane was situated, we took boarded the aircraft and took our seats at 10am. I was seated directly behind the pilot, Scott was to my right. This was our first time ever on a small aircraft, so I was a bit nervous. Brayden jumped into his seat, told us to buckle up and don our earphones which he used to give us some very informative talks about our flight over the great barrier reef.
