Fruit And Nut Rock Cakes

I had some mixed nuts, sultanas and raisins leftover from Christmas and I didn't want to make another cake, so these small guys sprung to mind. I used to love making rock cakes as a child (obviously minus the nuts) and haven't made them in a while so figured these would be perfect to add the fruit and nut mix. Ingredients 200g self raising flour pinch of salt 100g cold butter, cubed 80g sugar 100g mixed nuts, fruit 1 egg milk to mix Method 1.  Preheat oven to 200°C, 180 ° C Fan. Grease a baking tray. 2.  Mix the flour and salt, rub in the butter. Stir in sugar, mixed nuts and fruit. 3.  Mix to a stiff dough with the eggs and milk, gradually adding milk until the desired consistency. 4.  Place in rough heaps on a greased baking tray. Bake for 15-20 minutes.

Shrek Rave...Aussie Tour

Cerys went to a Shrek themed rave with some of her friends on Saturday night. Below are some photo's of the evening.

Palm Springs Inspired Cacti/Cactus Garden (Back)

We started clearing the intended cacti garden site on 5th February 2023, it had a dumping ground for so long. 18th February 2023, we cleaned the brick wall ready to paint. Scott gave it an undercoat of white first. Then on with the first coat of pink. We used what was left over from the window trims for the first coat. He finished it off using the paint sprayer. The next job was to remove the big boulders and replace them with blocks for a retaining wall, we reused the blocks that were left after another job. We filled up the bed with soil which we had to carry in buckets from the front. We removed this large succulent and put it in at the top of the cactus Garden and started the replanting on Saturday 4th March 2023. We then painted the rocks pink. The flower bed that we had there was removed 19th April 2021!. The reason we removed it was because we had mice nesting in them. Below are the photos from that project. Not to mention the fact that it was overrun and plain unsightly.
