Cerys' New Piercings

Yes, she got more piercings, this one was a triple outer conch, it is for part of her 18th birthday coming up soon. (As they are newly pierced they her ear is a bit swollen and you can still see the pen marks) Before The piercing she had done, with her having small ears, instead of the piercings going in a straight line, the piercer followed the contour of her ear. Just after getting it done. Cerys and her piercings are now on their Facebook page. 25th March 2022, she got her new earrings in.

Healthy Lemonade

A refreshing healthy summer drink full of vitamin C, minerals and antioxidants, ideal for cooling off and rehydrating during the warm days and evenings. I made this with sparkling mineral water but also delicious with plain water. I added a small amount of honey just to take the edge off the tangy lemons but this is completely optional. Ingredients 4-5 lemons, juiced 2 tsp honey 2 cups sparkling mineral water Method 1.  Put lemon juice and honey into a jug and whisk until well combined. 2.  Pour into your preferred glass and top with mineral water, add ice if desired. Serves 1-2

Op Shop Find

Sarah Jessica Parker, Lovely perfume.   I do love perfume, especially when I get it at this price!

Repotting Prickly Pear

I cut this pad from the same prickly pear bush as the one below at the same time, maybe approx 18 months ago maybe longer, while the one below has been growing new pads for a while now this one seems to be sitting dormant. I decided to remove it from the garden bed and put it in a pot on it's own to see if it would make a difference to it's growth, so only time will tell, fingers crossed 🤞 UPDATE 👇👇 19th March 2022, I noticed three small buds growing. I also measured the height today.

Spicy Zucchini Slice

A super easy midweek meal with just a hint of spice, add more peri-peri for a spicier flavour. Also perfect for lunch boxes or picnics. Ingredients 1 small onion, finely chopped 1 zucchini, finely sliced 1/2 cup cheddar, grated 1/2 cup self-raising flour 6 eggs 1/2 - 1 tsp peri-peri salt Method 1.  Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease and line a 16cm x 26cm slice pan, line with baking paper. 2.  In a large bowl, place onion, zucchini, cheese, flour, eggs and peri-peri salt, season lightly with salt and ground pepper. Stir until well combined. 3.  Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden and firm to touch. 4.  Allow to cool completely in pan before removing and slicing. Enjoy with a side salad or chips.

Painting Our House Exterior White

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Honestly it turned out way better than we expected, the beautiful crisp white adds a touch of Palm Springs/Mediterranean feel to it, just exactly what I was looking for. We still have some finishing touches, the driveway to clean and paint, the gate to paint and there will be a significant modification coming soon so stay tuned. Before After The house when we purchased it back in 2008. Scott tested it out on the back of the house first on the weekend of 5th February 2022 using a paint sprayer. The original brick colour. It went on quicker and better than he thought so we will have to get everything prepared before we continue spraying. He covered the and door to save the paint spraying on them. The last bits of brown disappearing. The creature from the Black Lagoon made an appearance 😅 Work commenced the weekend of 12th February 2022, where Scott masked the windows prior to spraying. 1st coat of paint on the side done. 2nd coat going on. We couldn't get the...
