Footdee is an old fishing village at the east end of the Aberdeen harbour. Footdee is lovingly known as "Fittie" by the locals, (we grew up with it always called Fittie). This quaint village is full of small charming and well preserved granite cottages and townhouses, some even have colourful themes and collections of eccentric quirky objects. This charming and unique 19th century former fishing village community takes you back in time, it is like walking through the bygone days. A dinky square full of tiny cottages all facing inward as shelter from the sea, this is one of the must places to visit whilst in Aberdeen.
