The Proclaimers Concert

The Proclaimers came to Hobart for one night on 7th March 2023. Scott booked us tickets to go and see them perform. They were last here 7 years ago. They were absolutely brilliant, better than I thought it would be, and there were a huge variety of age groups there, from the young to the old, everyone was jiving and singing along. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, brought back fond memories of listening to their music as a teenager.

Zucchini Slice

A quick and easy way to use up zucchini. This slice is perfect for a weekday dinner, school packed lunches or picnics. Ingredients 1 tbsp olive oil 1 onion, diced 5 eggs 1 cup cheese, grated 1 cup SR flour 1/4 cup olive oil 2 cups zucchini, grated salt & pepper 1 tsp sesame seeds Method 1.  Preheat oven to 175 C. Grease and line a 28cm x 18cm baking dish. 2.  Heat oil in pan over a medium heat. Cook onion until softened. Allow to cool slightly. 3.  Using your hands, squeeze excess liquid from zucchini.  4.  In a large bowl, add onion, eggs, cheese, flour, zucchini and oil, stir well to combine. Season with salt & pepper. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. 5.  Pour mixture into prepared dish. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until cooked through and firm to the touch. Allow to cool before cutting. Enjoy with a side salad.

Fresh Living Room Wall Paint

We decided to give our living room wall a fresh colour of paint, well, one wall anyway. The thought of painting this wall came about after Scott made me a shelf for my record player and I wanted to jazz the wall up a bit. It was last painted in November 2015. We originally thought of pink stripes but I wanted a greeny/turquoisey kinda colour to match my cushions in the next room. Scott has a paint colour match gadget and the colour I liked is on a photo frame I have, so he scanned it and this was the colour it came up with. It difficult to get the true colour in a photograph, but I love it! Before  Sunday 26th February, the paint went on the wall. We painted the edge of the wall with the same yellow as the shelf. It's nice to have a change, a pop of colour.
