Dylan's Candy Bar, New York

During our trip to New York we took the kids to see Dylan's Candy Store which is home to the largest selection of candies and candy-related gifts from around the world. It is owned by Dylan Lauren, the daughter of fashion designer Ralph Lauren. Talk about a kid in a candy store, this place is amazing even the staircase is adorned with candies. the bar restaurant  It was fun looking at all the different varieties of lollies, the kids had a whale of a time. 

Emoji Pops

Emojis, who doesn't use them when texting, there is one for almost everything these days, and kids LOVE them, from messaging their friends using their favourite emojis to wearing emoji clothes, earrings, slippers etc. These oreo emoji pops will be an instant hit, I made these for my daughters 12th birthday party. Ingredients 230 g yellow candy melts 70 g White chocolate 12 Oreo biscuits Candy eyes and hearts Small amounts of blue, black and pink sugar paste Black icing writing pen (food use) 12 cake pop sticks Method 1.   Melt yellow and white chocolate together slowly over a bain marie. I find adding white chocolate to the yellow melts makes it more creamy tasting. Carefully twist Oreos apart, dip stick in melted chocolate and place in the centre of the cream half of the Oreo, add a small amount of melted chocolate and sandwich the 2 half together again, do this with all Oreos, place in fridge for 10 minutes to harden. Lolly Kabobs

These are so easy to make and fun to eat, kids love them, I made these for my daughter's birthday party. All you need is some wood skewers and various lollies, carefully push them on to the skewers in any order. Great for parties
