Orange & Rosemary Gin 'N' Tonic

I saw this recipe in the latest Coles magazine and thought I would give it a try as it is the long weekend!!. It was delicious and refreshing, an ideal late afternoon summer treat. Ingredients for 4 1 cup fresh orange juice 1/4 tsp ground cardamon 2 rosemary sprigs 160 ml gin 1 orange, thinly sliced ice cubes to serve 375 ml chilled tonic water Method 1.  Place orange juice, cardamon and rosemary in a small pan over a high heat. Bring to the boil. Cook for 2 minutes or until orange juice thickens slightly. Strain through a fine mesh sieve into a jug. Discard solids. Set aside to cool. 2.  Divide orange mixture, gin and orange slices among serving glasses. Top with ice and tonic water. Enjoy.

Bloody Mary Cocktail

I made this Bloody Mary cocktail for Halloween. I basically knew the ingredients as I had made one before. I just went with my own personal taste as to the measurements of the ingredients. This was how I served it for Halloween to give it a more spooky look. Ingredients 1 lemon wedge 1 Lime wedge 60 ml Vodka 120 ml Tomato juice 2 splashes Tabasco sauce 2 splashes Worcester sauce   celery salt, to taste  ground black pepper, to taste 1 pinch smoked paprika Method Squeeze lemon and lime wedges into a cocktail shaker, then drop them in. Add remaining ingredients and fill with ice. Shake and strain into a tall glass filled with ice. Garnish with a celery stick and a lemon or lime wedge. Traditionally a Bloody Mary if served in a highball glass.
