California Day 8 - Route 66 to Barstow

On the 27th of October 2022 we packed up and left our accommodation in LA, and began the drive up to Barstow. Our first stop was the Cucamonga Service Station; a historic gas and automobile station located in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Built in 1915, it is the only surviving gas station of its design along Route 66. After its closure in 1971, it was eventually restored and re-opened as a Route 66 Museum in 2015. see blog post  here We then headed to San Bernardino, where we visited the Wigwam Motel for some photos. See blog post  here Next on our list was the First Original McDonald's Museum, also located in San Bernardino.
